The OETIO provides training from two primary campuses in Ontario. The Morrisburg campus, in eastern Ontario, delivers heavy equipment operator training and also serves as the design, development and administrative center of the OETIO.
The Oakville campus, a new modern facility co-located with the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 793 headquarters (IUOE), opened in January of 2006 as the center for crane operator training. Both campuses also provide a wide range of construction safety courses in support of industry requirements.
There are two acceptable methods for Respirator Fit Testing according to the CSA Z94. 4-11. Both a Qualitative and Quantitative method require a trained professional to conduct an in person assessment and training on the selection, care and use of designated respirators.
The definition of a “Supervisor” under Occupational Health and Safety Act is “a person who has charge of a workplace or authority over a worker”.
Our Confined Space Entry training course has been developed for those with an occupational requirement to be trained to safely perform work in confined spaces.
Aerial Lifts are critical to the efficient operation on many industrial operations. They allow work at heights to be completed with relative ease and helps to reduce the issue of engineered anchor points, since certified aerial lifts come equipped with them.
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to identify different types of lifts, the hazards involved and the legal obligations when operating a lift. This program is intended for novice or experienced elevated work platform operators.
