Weekly costs of ingredients approximately $20 – $30 but this may vary as food prices vary and may also depend on what requests students may have for dishes.
With some of the shorter courses, students are to bring the required and specified ingredients on the first night.
Students are welcome to work together in pairs – please discuss your options with your tutor.
Students are asked to supply own tea towels, dish cloths and hand towels.
Students use the same construction/ Joinery workshops that our pre-trade students work in so they are able to see first-hand the types of projects that are carried out by the full-time students.
Our Carpentry programmes will provide you with the hands-on skills you need to start your career as a builder. With our workshop facilities, experienced teachers, industry connections and apprenticeship scheme, you’ll hit the ground running.
This very popular series of workshops covers a range of equipment found in our wood workshop. It’s suitable for novices or anyone wishing to upskill, particularly in power-tools and machinery.
The course is an introduction to basic carpentry skills and knowledge used in carpentry, building and construction and joinery industries taught in one of the wood workshops.
Participants will need to be able to carry their project a short distance from their car into the workshop and then back again to be stored at home between lessons. Participants should wear comfortable clothes, closed toe shoes and jewellery that will not get caught in any machinery.
