About Us
From 1991 to 2001 I spent a long time training in counselling, co-counselling and psychotherapy, going to all sorts of groups and courses, getting my own therapy, and working as a therapist in both the NHS and in charities.
Since 2001 I have been in private practice as a counsellor and psychotherapist, seeing individuals who come to see me for all sorts of reasons: it’s an infinitely interesting and fruitful job, the kind that if I won the lottery, I’d still want to do it.
In 2011, I set up Confidence Tracks to embrace the courses in confidence-building and co-counselling that I have now been running for several years.

Sometimes I deliver my courses with the help of assistant trainers. With great pleasure, I introduce to you:Joanna has been is a professional Health Trainer, a qualified yoga instructor, and is experienced in confidence and assertiveness training, co-counselling training, The Work of Byron Katie and other interpersonal group work. She also works as a freelance interpreter in health, legal and statutory settings. She brings her own unique qualities to the course experience and helps me avoid thinking the I am the sole purveyor of ‘The Truth’.
You will learn about four classic behaviour types that we come across every day, and what they look like. Knowing about these is enormously empowering because it helps to give you a sense of assertiveness being a choice, rather than a gift that you have if you are lucky. How to stop embarrassment ...
Everyone on the course will get several chances to do mini-presentations (could be just 30 seconds) to the group during the day, focusing on various techniques: watch your confidence grow as the day progresses.
