Practical music lessons are offered on all the orchestral instruments as well as piano, guitar, saxophone and voice. There are three ensembles that one can audition for entry into.
They are the Junior Wind Ensemble, the String Ensemble and the senior ensemble the KwaZulu – Natal Youth Wind Band. Lessons are also offered in music theory.
Singing lessons are offered by Durban Music School for all ages and abilities. The school follows the same terms as the government schools. We do international exams through Royal Music Schools of London or Trinity School of Music.
Saxophone lessons are offered by Durban Music School for all ages and abilities. The school follows the same terms as the government schools. You must have accesses to the instrument of your choice as you need to practice at home.
