This is a course of training that provides basic knowledge of construction work, the Work Health and Safety (WHS) laws that apply, common hazards likely to be encountered in construction work and how the associated risks can be controlled.
EWPs are powered mobile plant designed to lift or lower people and equipment to a work location, by means of a telescoping device or articulated device, beyond a base support. This course trains and assesses in the operation of a scissor type lift (unrestricted height) and boom lift .
Hazardous substances are those that, following worker exposure, can have an adverse effect on health. Examples of hazardous substances include poisons, substances that cause burns or skin and eye irritation, and substances that may cause cancer.
This course is designed for employees who are required to oversee/monitor the safety of workers on a work site.
Work Zone Traffic Management involves the management of traffic through, around and past roadwork sites whilst balancing the safety needs of both workers and road users such as drivers, cyclists and pedestrians
