Tania's School of Ballet

Tania Armstrong (married name Doyle) AISTD Dip. London, Cecchetti Society Faculty, trained with Miss Eileen Keegan in Kwa-Zulu Natal, one of the pioneers in establishing the Cecchetti Society in Southern Africa. From a young age, Tania developed a sincere love of dance and knew she wanted to pursue a ballet teaching career.

Tania’s School of Ballet was established in 1996. In 1997, Tania took up the post of ballet teacher at Auckland Park Preparatory School (APPS) and her pupil base has grown consistently ever since. In 2010, Tania built a beautiful ballet studio at her Parkview home where the majority of her classes now take place. Tania remains the resident ballet teacher at APPS, but her pupils at the studio hail from a range of different schools across Johannesburg. Tania’s studio is a nurturing, inclusive environment where pupils work hard and have fun.

 An annual ballet show takes place in October each year at the Lesedi Theatre @ the Joburg Theatre – it is a highlight of our calendar.
