I’m Tania Brown the owner of Thought Process. A fully accredited Professional Workplace Mediator, Trainer and EAP Consultant with over 12 years’ experience working within a clinical & psychology environment.
I’m not in the least bit ashamed or embarrassed to share with you that I am a proud survivor of Domestic Violence. During that time I was studying, and it was then that I decided to specialise in Conflict Resolution.
I have great passion for this subject and have seen it work many times, even when greeted with managers worrying that their particular case may never be resolved.
During a Mediation it’s my job to make sure that a robust framework can be created for safe and respectful negotiation between the parties involved. Through years of experience, I have learnt how the process of guiding people through this enabling each party to access not only their own fears and concerns but also to engage in self-reflection.
This often results in me coaching each party, to help them put into words the emotional impact of the dispute, to negotiate and then to facilitate workable solutions.
I am a Registered Mediator with the Civil Mediation Council, the Mii and PMA and abide by the Code of Ethics and Practice. I am also affiliated with various EAP and OH organisations. In addition, I have been a regular speaker for Women’s Aid and speak at Safe Guarding events for both Private and Public-Sector groups.
Over the years I have carried out more than 200 mediations to resolution stage, some of which have been complex and have involved multiple parties. I have worked with both Private Corporates/SME and Public-Sector organisations nationally.
Mediation can be a challenging process, and when bought to resolution can create enormous satisfaction, pride and relief to the participants when the weight of the dispute is lifted from them and they have put things in place to better manage the working relationship going forward.
I am also delighted and extremely lucky to have 3 wonderful associates working with me. Each of them are, like me, not only fully accredited mediators but have a range of fantastic specialisms.
