To provide the participants with the base skills and knowledge to undertake Basic Scaffolding Activities at work in accordance with Safe Work Australia's National Standard for Person Performing High Risk Work (2006).

This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely perform basic scaffolding work. Scaffolding work involves erecting, altering or dismantling a temporary structure to support a platform from which a person or object could fall more than four metres. 

This Nationally Accredited HRW Basic Scaffolding course is designed to teach participants to:  Erect and Dismantle Modular or Pre-Fabricated Scaffold Systems such as Aluminium Mobiles, Steel Modular, Kwik Stage & Cuplock over 4 meters. 

This unit is based upon the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work. Scaffolding work includes putting up, changing or taking down a temporary structure that is used to support a work platform, where a person or object could fall more than four metres.
