This course is designed for everyone to introduce absolute beginners to pole dancing. Every class consists of a warm-up, conditioning for strength and flexibility, essential pole dance moves including spins, tricks and a routine with floorwork.
By the end of the course you will be familiar with the pole, be able to complete a short routine. You will build up your strength and flexibility for more advanced pole work.
Pole moves range from floor work to inverting (going upside down).
At South Pole Dance, we believe the best way to get fit and stay in shape is to have fun doing it. Pole dancing is a great way to improve your self-confidence and your fitness. You won't believe what you are capable of!
No prior dance skills, strength or flexibility is required when you come for your first class so if you are worried about not having a dance background, don't be!
Most of our students have no prior dance experience.
Classes are suitable for all shapes, sizes, ages and fitness levels. Before you know it you will be spinning and dancing like a star!
No matter your skill level you can progress at your own pace! Our open-level group classes will be focused on your abilities. There is also plenty of freedom to explore private training or independent sessions.
If you’re up to the challenge, private sessions with our instructors will replace your cardio, flexibility, and strength programs with a single fun workout that will leave you ripped and equipped with new moves to amaze your friends!

The curriculum of this course consists of more advanced inverts, transitions and tricks that will challenge your pole dancing at your own pace
Level 1 is our beginner class focused around learning basic spins and transitions. You’ll build strength and body awareness to help you move up to the next level. If you've got no experience with pole dancing, these are the classes to attend.
