Understand how to carry out an assessment of the risk before undertaking a manual handling task, therefore avoiding dangerous and costly mistakes.
Learn the correct techniques for lifting and moving and mechanical aids and strategies to use in order to reduce risk.
Be aware of the legal requirements placed on employers as laid out in the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and other legislation.
Learn how to use effective training techniques.
Practise your delivery of a Manual Handling course whilst being observed by your trainer.
On completion, successful delegates will receive a Worksafe UK Certificate of Course Completion plus CPD certification and 12 CPD points. Delegates also receive a Manual Handling Instructor Toolkit so you can start teaching without delay.
