Townsville and the district were truly blessed when Robyn and husband Doug Gilchrist created the Croft Gilchrist School Of Dancing. From the central location all lovers of dance, from tiny tots, teenagers and even adults could learn professional dance skills from the principal of the school, Robyn Croft, a foundation member of the Australian Ballet and dancer in the Royal Ballet.
Robyn has enjoyed the privilege of helping many others develop the extra confidence, poise and better co-ordination using the art of dance.
Many of her students have made a career out of their developed skills. Many others have used these talents in associated fields and others have just simply enjoyed their new found creativity as part of a richly rewarded lifestyle. Robyn Croft has a passion for dance and this is melded into all of her students – either the young or young at heart.
As ballet is the core of all dancing, we’re offering our Mighty students this class stand alone to ensure they’re focusing the majority of the class on barre and centre techniques and exercises to further enhance their overall technique, flexibility, strength, posture and poise.

Ballet stretches are an essential part of training in this form of dance. Not only stretching, but stretching correctly, can improve your performance now and extend your dancing life for years.
For the experienced ballerina, these classes will follow Royal Academy Dance program, with an option to take exams each year. Under the guidance of our highly trained teacher Miss Christina Federici Di Donna
Adhering to the ADA syllabus, we teach foundational classical ballet techniques. Our Townsville ballet teachers will help you perform the required movements with grace and precision.
