A recognized vocational training center and an active and dynamic living environment !!!
In operation since 1965, the École hôtelière de la Capitale (ÉHC) is a vocational training center offering 9 programs in the food and tourism sector.
Each year, we welcome around 750 students. Whether you go to the supermarket, the butcher, the pastry shop, a delicatessen, a caterer, a restaurant or even a travel agency, you will undoubtedly meet a graduate of the École hôtelière de la Capitale.
Located in lower Quebec City, a stone's throw from the tourist heart of Quebec City, the ÉHC is part of the Commission scolaire de la Capitale.
During our Beginner homebrewing classes, an expert instructor will walk you through the steps needed to brew a batch of beer from malt extracts, hops and yeast. The class will discuss and demonstrate basic brewing techniques, cleaning & sanitation methods, sound fermentation practices and bottling.
These hands-on classes max out at 6 people a class, and there is a lot of time for questions and assistance.
Our training space is set in a private room that includes a full espresso machine with 2 group-heads, to provide our students with hands-on experience in coffee training, latte art and cupping courses.
Participants receive: Barista Manual, Hands on Training, All Supplies & Barista Certificate.
Learn how to use your home espresso machine and grinder to get the most out of your espresso.
