The founders Mandy and Juan Pallatte established CakeandBake in 2010 and have successfully grown the Brand into a house hold name.
They realised with the ever increasing unemployment rate in South Africa they could share in their success. Baking 101 was born in the Honeydew Business park with a factory exceeding 500 square meters. Their aim to equip you with both professional knowledge and hands on practical experience to start your own exciting business in the cake industry working from home or open your own bakery.
In our baking classes students are taught cake assembly and decorating how to create the perfect texture and amazing tasting cakes. You are taught how to make your own decorations, from flowers to figurines how to shape a cake and most importantly how to put all these elements together to create a show piece with every creation you make.
This course will teach you about the basics of working with decorating bags, tips, and piping techniques that include dots, pulled dots, and pull-out dots.Â
This training will teach you about making a painted drip cake with candy brush strokes and bark designs.Â
This interesting workshop includes a total of 4 lessons comprising of 2 hours each (8 hours in total). The class can either be completed in a single day or over 2 mornings.
