This is an exciting class where we will make a classic Japanese meal which you can easily replicate in your own home. At this class we will be making a selection of dishes perfect for entertaining or just as a tasty alternative cooked meal. This is a great class if you what to learn how to make great tasting meal at home.
Dishes will include:
Miso soup
Miso aubergine
Sushi
Steamed rice paper rolls filled with crab and chilli
This class will last approximately 3 hours with plenty of time to cook the dishes, sit back and enjoy your meal with a complimentary drink. It also includes a recipe pack to take home. This class is suitable for all, as we can tweak the dishes to suit your requirements.
We offer a range of day and evening cooking classes for all ages and abilities. Each class will teach you the skills they needed to make delicious dishes that can be prepared quickly or in advance to be enjoyed with family and friends at home.
Our classes are informal and relaxed, but well structured and feature a mix of demonstration and hands-on cooking. At the end of most classes you will sit down together to enjoy the food that has been cooked along with a glass of wine, coffee or tea.
This class is all about authentic sushi recipes, preparation and knife skills.
Our cookery courses in the East Midlands include a short demonstration followed by "hands-on" cooking with tutoring to your own specific requirements. Recipes and ingredients are all provided.
At the Edinburgh New Town Cookery School you will be shown the simple techniques of preparing fish and vegetables for sushi and will have a go at making it yourself. In the afternoon, after lunch, you will have a go at other Japanese recipes, which you can take home with you.
You’ll learn some basic facts about sushi and Japanese food.
We will tell you how to source the right ingredients for your sushi making journey, including rice and fish, as well as context behind the food and how to eat sushi the traditional way.
