We started Schola as a place where people could come together, put on an apron and learn about where food comes from and how to cook it. All of our classes are designed to intrigue the beginner as well as the seasoned veteran in the kitchen. The classes are a hands-on experience and usually last between two and three hours.
Schola is BYOB and we encourage our students to bring a bottle of something to enjoy while they cook and eat together. We’ll always have plenty of stemware on hand!
Dumplings variations are found in all cuisines. They can be eaten as an entrée or as an appetizers. In this class we will make two different kinds of dumplings; soup dumplings and shu-mei (shrimp and pork) dumplings.
Tibetan Momos, Chinese Shumai, Pot Stickers and Har Gow, Italian Gnocchi, Japanese Gyoza, American sweet and savory dumplings, Polish Perogis and Indian Samosas are a few of the variations of those delightful pieces of dough we call dumplings.

Chinese Cuisine cooking class is offered by Chef Joe's Culinary Salon. Classes are held in a warm, fun, and welcoming environment in Chef Joe’s own personal culinary salon and art studio. The classes are limited to 12 max. up to 14 for private groups, so you get lots of personal attention.
