Join our sushi expert Anne Wong on how to master the secret skills of sushi so you can make it in your own home.
Usually in Japan it takes years to perfect sushi, but you will learn a few tricks to complete your sushi dishes at our cookery school in one session.
Anne Wong, along with her husband Colin, owns the very famous Mandarin City Restaurant in Ballyhackamore, Belfast. She is originally from Hong Kong but has lived in Northern Ireland for many years. She has a vast knowledge of Asian cuisine and she makes it look so easy.

Welcome to Forestside Cookery School. Located within Forestside Shopping mall on the outskirts of Belfast city centre, this unique space has free parking and easy access, making our school a perfect venue for anyone within the greater Belfast or visiting Northern Ireland.
We have 16 fully equipped work stations, with everything from aprons to pots & pans. We have it all sorted for your unique culinary experience. Each class is led by highly passionate tutors, each with many years experience and expertise in their style of cooking.

In this class you will be shown you the basics of making sushi - getting the rice right, learning to roll it in a multitude of ways and also some quick sushi inspired salads
Master the true art of Japanese cookery with our full day class. We cover popular dishes from Tokyo to Osaka and beyond what you find in London such as Okonomiyaki, Kushikatsu and Chicken Yakitori- plus some popular favourites!
Firstly, our chef will show everyone the techniques of preparing and cooking your own Sumeshi sushi rice. Then the class will be shown how to prepare a range of different sushi, beginning by making your very own cured Salmon and Cucumber Nori Maki roll, accompanied with Japanese Miso Noodle Soup.
Join us at Waterman House Cookery School to learn the simple art of making sushi.
Since it is not all raw fish, there’s no need to fret! Our vegan and vegetarian friends are most welcome to take part. Greenwich Pantry’s fun sushi-making class is the perfect choice for a family and friends reunion!
