We offer ballet classes from levels 1 to Advanced. Our Ballet Instructors will evaluate each dancer and place them where they are best suited. These classes do perform in our end of year Spring Show.
Academy of Dance has been open under the direction and ownership of Jacquie Franz since 2001. In the spring of 2009, Academy of Dance moved to its current location, offering classes for two year old's and up.
We pride ourselves on creating an exciting and fun environment for our students and their families while teaching the technique and fundamentals required to excel in all aspects of the performing arts.
Ballet carries emphasis on vocabulary and French terminology. Musicality continues to be emphasized along with balance and coordination through the strengthening of the body core.
For true beginner students, this class is the perfect introduction to the fundamentals of ballet. Develop your skillset in traditional dance elements in a non-competitive, fun environment with live musical accompaniment.
Strength, flexibility, balance, alignment and artistry are the focuses of our ballet program. We work to stay true to ballet’s traditions and rich history while incorporating 21st century knowledge of anatomy, body mechanics, pedagogy and inclusion.
Ballet dance classes are offered by Miami Dance and Music Academy for all ages and skill level. Our instructors are highly qualified and many have extensive performance experience. Most importantly, our instructors strive to relate their teaching to each individual student’s learning style.
Students enrolled in the pre-professional division are placed in each level on a basis of individual improvement, technical ability, and work ethic.
