I have over 20 years’ experience teaching, instructing and choreographing dance from the basics of movement, leading to advanced dance and the foundations of various styles such as modern, hip-hop, street, contemporary, tap, ballet and jazz.
Contemporary Dance Lessons are offfered by OnPointe Dance Studio for all ages and skill levels. All our classes are structured to combine fun, fitness and freedom of movement and run on a monthly basis. No matter your age, dance experience or fitness level.
Classes are based on a moderate amount of stretching. We use the Pilates principles of elongating the muscles and strengthening the body’s core.
Lyrical a theatrical entertainment in which Lyrical dancing and music, often tells a story where a dancer uses advanced techniques to create movement.Â
Contemporary Dance classes are offered by NSA National School of the Arts.  The experienced staff focuses on technique, performance, interpretation, and stylistic understanding.
In these one hour long classes we warm-up, work on some basic techniques and skills from that specific style (eg. Contemporary or Hip Hop), learn a short routine and end with stretching.
