At Precision Dance contemporary classes begin at age 9 or 10, this is common in a lot of schools as it is a more mature dance style and the students need to be more in tune with their bodies.

Precision Dance has classes in ATOD Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary. We also teach Pre-School Ballet and Pre-Grade Ballet, Private Lessons, Acrodance and Competition Work.
We love getting to know every child individually so that we can work out the perfect teaching plan for them, this is why our classes are small.
We pride ourselves in fostering a love and passion for dance, while teaching correct technique in a safe and supportive environment.

Contemporary is an expressive dance and is a mix between ballet and jazz
It focuses on Contemporary principles such as weight, flow, movement and gravity, encouraging students to focus on freedom of movement and spatial awareness.
This class has over the past few years developed into a very popular class. It is freedom of expression, includes great technique gained from ballet and emotion whilst dancing. Contemporary dance is an ‘anything goes’ genre.
Half hour sessions For solo dancers who wish to fine tune their technique, focus on specifics, and improve their dance generally.
A style of dance seen in the professional circuit and in education, contemporary dance explores all regions of body movement and creativity. DEC offers two levels of contemporary training.
