The Academy offers a unique learning environment and is not just a ‘dancing school’ – it is a place where everyone involved is focused on the happiness and development of all students through dance education, experiences and opportunities whilst building the foundations of friendship, confidence and a bright future.
The Academy has classes, programs and opportunities for the beginner and/or hobby student through to the elite aspiring dancer.
In 2019 The Academy was the Winner of the Commerce Ballarat Federation Business School Creative Industries Business Excellence Award and was also a Finalist the previous year.
The Academy’s teaching faculty provides a harmonious blend of youth, enthusiasm, experience and dedication which collaborate to ensure every student is nurtured and provided a quality level of training. Faculty members include professional dancers and highly qualified and experienced artists.
In class students will warm up with stretches and strengthening exercises before moving onto dance choreography.
Contemporary Dance bridges the gap between jazz and ballet, offering a fluid movement style and encouraging creative thinking.
A creative, interpretive and free-flowing style combining both ballet and jazz technique to produce beautiful and expressive routines, requiring dancers to express emotions and incorporate them into their performance.
Here at Denise Dancing School we follow the innovative ISTD & Â ATOD systems of training which are carefully structured, ensuring students are learning the most up to date contemporary techniques and styles.
Here at Newcastle Dance Academy, all students must enrol in a ballet class to be eligible to participate in our contemporary classes
