This class is taught by indigenous chef Chris Jordan, a Koori man born in Maclean, New South Wales on traditional Bunjalung land.
Chris uses native ingredients and ancient techniques to make food that just doesn’t just taste good but also acknowledges, educates and celebrates the unique culture and natural resources Australia has to offer.

The cooking school runs Sundays an Mondays and offers hands-on cooking classes in a variety of popular cuisines.
General classes are open to the public and we also offer specialised classes and events that can be tailored to suit private or corporate groups and special occasion classes. Our classes aim to be informative, educational and fun at the same time.
The Golden Pig is located in a spacious, light filled, warehouse in inner city Newstead. The flexible floor plan includes an open kitchen, front and back dining areas and a small rear courtyard and garden.
This cooking class is fantastic for those with limited time but who don’t want to sacrifice delicious & nutritious family meals.
We will focus on some of the most used food additives, how they behave, how to use and how to apply them into different ingredients to create the desired effects. You will also learn how food texture or phase state can be manipulated through the hands-on basic process.
Students will learn to use leaner cuts of meat, poultry, to use less fat and cream in your cooking, however due to the addition of spices and herbs every dishes prepared taste sensational!
A spin off to our Healthy & Delicious Easy Weeknight Meals class, this class features five basic favourites to fill your week. Never be stuck for dinner ideas again.
Low – Carb cooking Classes are offered by Dominique Rizzo for all ages and skill levels. Dominique’s focus is on delicious, creative, healthy food drawing on her professional experiences and her vast range of food knowledge from her European and World travels.Â
