Our Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification delivered by National Wellbeing. It is ideal for those designated as workplace first aiders. It's also a valuable asset for volunteers and individuals in the community who may need to treat medical conditions such as asthma, allergic reactions, fractures and much more.
Ofqual Regulated Qualification
By law, workplaces must prioritise employee wellbeing. The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to have a plan for immediate care of injured or sick staff. This includes appointing enough trained first-aiders.
National Wellbeing’s QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) equips individuals to act as qualified first-aiders. This regulated, nationally recognized qualification is ideal for workplace designees and volunteers in community settings.
This course can be completed by an instructor attending your workplace/venue for three days in person. Alternatively, completion can be six hours of easy-to-use online learning at your own pace and two days in person – please see Blended Learning for more details.
Our First Aid at Work courses cover essential skills for handling various emergencies: assessing situations, managing unconscious casualties, performing CPR, responding to heart attacks/angina, choking, sepsis, meningitis, head/spinal injuries, fractures, allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), and more.
Experience anxiety, dyslexia or any other condition? Or maybe you are nervous about attending a National Wellbeing course? Please speak to your instructor or email us prior to the course and we will ensure that your needs are catered for and any reasonable adjustments are put in place. All National Wellbeing instructors carry coloured overlays and visual aids, sensory objects and stress balls for those who wish to use them.
About National Wellbeing
With you in mind...
At National Wellbeing, we pride ourselves on offering a holistic approach to safety training for workplaces, schools and community groups. We collect research and direct our focus at the intersection of where Health & Safety and workplace/community wellbeing meet.
Our Instructors and Wellbeing Coaches have occupational experience of working within the NHS – from Hospital and Ambulance Service, right through to Mental Health Services.
Our face to face courses can be delivered at your workplace or chosen venue, or you may wish to join one of our open courses.
Another option may be to take advantage of our ‘blended learning’ options – this is an ideal mixture of online and face to face training. An example of this would be a typical three day First Aid at Work, or two day Paediatric First Aid course can be taken face to face over two days (First Aid at Work) or one day (Paediatric First Aid), with an online learning element which can be completed at your own pace prior to the face to face element.
One of our most popular training categories is our Workplace Wellbeing Advocate Programme. This unique course includes certificates and qualifications in Physical First Aid, Mental Health Awareness, Manual handling and Mindfulness.
Having a certified National Wellbeing Advocate in your workplace aims to reduce sick days, identify and signpost those who are experiencing mental health issues; as well as knowing how to respond correctly in a First Aid emergency, offer support and guidance on correct posture techniques when using equipment, sitting at a desk or performing repetitive tasks – as well as much more!
Of course, some of our clients just choose to take one or two courses rather than invest in one of our Wellbeing Programmes – this is absolutely fine! Please feel free to contact us today to see how we can work together to stay safe in the workplace and/or community.
EMT Life Skills was set up to deliver first class First Aid training. The instructors are serving or ex-military with many years of practical experience of treating real life casualties both in the civilian world and with trauma management in hostile environments. They are also First Responders.
Where an organisation's risk assessment of First Aid needs identifies that there is a requirement for Emergency First Aid at Work practitioners, then this national Award in Emergency First Aid at Work satisfies the requirements of the regulatory body for First Aid - the Health and Safety Executive.
We are one of the most successful colleges in the country – a place where more than 11,000 people study vocational technical qualifications, apprenticeships and higher education programmes each year.
