We will share seafood sourcing and shopping wisdom, focusing on sustainable varieties. Then you will practice a variety of seafood cooking techniques, including braising, sautéing and frying. We’ll also start to build your grain cooking playbook and expand your collection of go-to vegetable dishes.

We have built The Civic Kitchen from the ground up to be the perfect place for home cooks to learn. Our space is open, airy, bright and welcoming. To your left when you walk in you’ll notice our cookbook library.
Which is a great resource for learning about different techniques, cuisines and styles. On your right is the large communal table where you and your fellow classmates will enjoy eating the meal you cooked together in class.
This class is all about fish and seafood! For three hours you (or whoever you send) will help prepare and eat great fish and seafood!!. Salmon, Tuna, Shrimp, Tilapa… it’s all on the menu and it’s all going to get eaten!! OK.

Enjoy Mexican seafood, from North to South! Enjoy Mahi Mahi two ways: seasoned and done as a taco, and spiced & seared with Nopales and peppers.
In this class you will learn to break down a round fish. We will prepare a fish stock during class and you will cook several recipes to utilize the filets with fresh early fall ingredients. You will prepare three dishes to prepare the fish by searing, grilling and roasting.
