About Us

  • My name is Jacky, currently working as a barista in a very busy cafe located at Kitsilano. There is a part of of this job that fascinates me and motivates me through out the day no matter how many times I do it. And that, is pouring latte art.

How I started

  • A few years ago, I was introduced to latte art while browsing YouTube. At that time I just started making my own pour overs using the coffee beans from Starbucks, a blade grinder and a wide spout kettle to pour boiling water heavily onto the coffee bed. Looking back, I am now not a big fan of the coffees that I made back then.  
  • However, I had so much fun with the process, I didn’t stop there. I ended up searching for more coffee content on Youtube, hoping I could improve my coffee brewing skills. YouTube recommendations showed me beautiful latte art videos, luring me into the espresso side of coffee, and of course, I was hooked.
