Sur La Table was founded in Seattle in 1972 by Shirley Collins, a woman with a passion for food and a fondness for community. Living in Seattle, she fell in love with Pike Place Market with its inspiring blend of products, artisans, and farmers. When Shirley opened her first store in Pike Place Market, she was determined to assemble the best selection of cookware, gadgets, linens and books—even importing exclusive specialty items from France, her favorite culinary destination. Salud! Let's kick off Cinco de Mayo a night early while you prepare a delicious Mexican Inspired Menu. You will learn and prepare Jalapeno Lime Skillet Shrimp Tostadas with a Mango Salsa topped with Crema, a Festive Cilantro Lime Corn & Jalapeno Rice and finished off with a Key Lime Pie.
Let’s taco ‘bout this fun class! Make marinades, quick seasonings, tortillas from scratch, and various fillings from grilled chicken thighs to guajillo-beer braised beef short ribs. Several sweet and spicy salsas will take your taco game right over the edge of excellence!
