All classes are nut-free. Lunch and snack is included each day.
Our hands-on classes are the perfect balance between a recreational and an instructional cooking class. We start with a knife skills demo, then use measured out ingredients to execute each of the dishes while being guided by your chef instructor and staff.
Each member of your group of 4-5 people will work on different aspects of the meal, this allows us to make this as interactive as possible, while also ensuring that we’re creating a fun, social experience where you can pick up new culinary techniques, cover kitchen safety, and learn how to put together a beautiful meal.
Cooking typically lasts between 1.5-2 hours before dropping your aprons to enjoy your hard work around our communal table for a relaxed meal during the final hour.
Does your child love to cook, or even just help in the kitchen? This summer camp will teach him or her kitchen safety along with basic knife skills, basic nutrition and kitchen hygiene. It will build confidence and excitement for trying new recipes.
In addition to Arts for Learning’s ArtWorks paid summer internships in the arts for high school students and the Lewis Arts Studio summer program for middle school students interested in the visual arts.
Growing food, gardening and making/building crafts in the garden is fun and engaging! We will do various craft projects for the garden, and have a special guest who will teach us about planting and growing flowers and food. We’ll complete garden-related projects in wood, ceramics.
Parents please note this is a “drop off only”, hands-on kids camp booking. This is a three-day camp, two-hours per day. There is no single day enrollment. If your child misses a class, there is no refund for the missed day/s.
The Curious Kitchen presents it’s 9th year of Kids Summer Cooking Camp!Jr. chefs are taught the finer points of cooking, food preparation, keeping a clean work space, recipes, measuring and working with fresh ingredients to make delicious meals… all while having fun!
