  • This interactive, hands on class will have you wanting to take a trip to Japan as Chef Ron teaches you how to master the Maki-sushi roll, Sashimi and Cones.
  • Ron will take you through the fascinating history of this popular Japanese dish, and will demystify all the popular beliefs of sushi. For sushi lovers, this is a class you wont want to miss out on!
  • Ron has taught hands on sushi making classes to North Americans since 1975. His Oshi Sushi and Banquet Sushi have been highlighted in the Northwest Palate Gourmet Magazine.

Fraser Valley Farm Direct Marketing Association

  • The Fraser Valley Farm Direct Marketing Association (F.V.F.D.M.A), formed in 1994, promotes and develops the market for farmers selling direct to the consumer either from their farms or at farmers’ markets. There are currently 77 members.
  • The F.V.F.D.M.A produces a Farm Fresh Reference Guide each spring that lists farms and their locally-grown products. About 65,000 copies of the Reference Guide will be distributed this year.

​​​​​​​The F.V.F.D.M.A Provides Many Services And Opportunities to Member Farmers, Including:

  • A Farm Fresh Guide distributed across the Lower Mainland, and listing all member farms with descriptions, locations, and a useful product index;
  • A website, www.bcfarmfresh.com, to put consumers in touch with our member growers;
  • An Agriculture Mentoring Program to encourage people with smaller acreages to start a farm operation by providing access to our experienced farmers;
  • Access to a network of farm direct marketers with experience in a wide range of product areas;
  • Opportunity to be part of local marketing programs and other marketing initiatives such as media tours and others.
