Achieve the Dream!
St. Philip's College as a member of the Alamo Colleges is participating in Achieving the Dream: Community Colleges Count. This is a multi-year initiative that addresses a national imperative: increasing the success of underserved students at community colleges.
The initiative is funded by Lumina Foundation for Education and managed by MDC Inc. Other national partners include the American Association of Community Colleges, Community College Leadership Program - University of Texas at Austin, Community College Research Center - Teachers College - Columbia University, Futures Project - Brown University, Jobs for the Future, MDRC and Public Agenda.
Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (it) projects. Lead and guide the work of technical staff. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
The Restaurant Management degree at SPC prepares the student to manage the people, products, facilities, and financial concerns of a commercial food service operation, including restaurant, hotel food and beverage, corporate dining, catering, and more!
The Manufacturing Program provides students with post entry level skills in the Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machine Manufacturing profession. The CNC Operator Certificate of Completion provides instruction in the operation of CNC Turning Centers and CNC Machining Centers.
The Culinary Arts program prepares students for careers in the visitor and hospitality industries that are vital to the San Antonio and South Texas economy. The industry has grown handsomely in the recent past and is currently the city's second-largest industry.
