NYST is an authorized provider of NYC DOB safety courses.  We offer the 40-hour Site Safety manager course at our Brooklyn Training Center.  This course is a required part of the application for a license as a NYC Site Safety Manager.  

The 8 hour Site Safety Manager Refresher course is a refresher to the 40 Hour Site Safety Manager Course and the 8 Hour Site Safety Coordinator Course, which are a comprehensive review of Chapter 33 and the Rules of the City of New York that pertain to public protection.

This course is one of the pre-requisites an applicant must successfully complete before being eligible to apply for a New York City (NYC) Site Safety Manager License Examination. In addition, this course fulfills part of the training requirements for a Site Safety Coordinator.

This course can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card. This is an awareness level training only and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.

This package provides training for workers and employers on recognizing, avoiding, abatement, and preventing safety and health hazards in the workplace; in order to meet the Local Law 196 62 -hour supervisors training requirements.

The 8 Hour Site Safety Manager Refresher will review the information learned in the 40 Hour Site Safety Manager Course which is a comprehensive presentation of Chapter 33 and New York City Rules relating to public protection.

The regulatoin is designed to reduce or eliminate injuries and illnesses in the workplace. Personnel attending the class will learn how to develop the IIPP, perform hazard evaluations & safety inspections, conduct employee training for compliance and more. 

This course covers safety and health management responsibilities. Participants will be able to implement a workplace Safety and Health Management Program (SHMP) according to OSHA’s Recommended Practices for Safety and Health Programs and related guidance.
