Spilled Batter was founded by Sally Houx, a former elementary and middle school teacher, who was raised by two chefs. After several years in the classroom, she decided to take a break and spend time at home raising her two children.
As she provided a place to safely learn, explore and experiment with both familiar and new foods, she quickly discovered that she could combine her two passions, teaching and cooking. Sally launched Spilled Batter to share this gift with other people’s children, offering them the opportunity to build lifelong skills, spark creativity, and inspire collaboration with others.
Have your kids join her for our amazingly fun series of cooking camps this summer! During camp, Janet will teach them cooking techniques and skills and get your kids cooking like never before!
In-person teen classes are back! In our hands-on cooking classes, tots and kids get to chop, grate, measure, mix and roll their way to delicious dishes with the guidance of our engaging instructors.
LCSH, is able to provide unique and rewarding experiences, with kitchens at all of our locations. Our children work on their fine motor skills as they learn to measure, pour, blend, add and mix.
Our cooking classes are healthy, hands-on, and always fun. We focus on whole foods and recipes packed with vegetables and fruits. We also include kitchen safety and basic nutrition education in every class.
Children’s classes are fun, hand-on classes where little chefs learn, create, eat and have lots of fun. Children will be coached by an Instructor and will work in teams to make each menu item.
