A street food favourite across China and Taiwan, these sweet buns stuffed with spicy meat or veg may seem tricky to make, but our chefs will show you exactly how to make bao at home.
Our Masterclasses are the perfect opportunity for you to master one particular dish or skill, all within a relaxed 3-hour class.
You’ll start with refreshments and an introduction to bao from our chefs, then will get hands-on mixing up and kneading your bun dough. While that’s proving, it’ll be time to focus on fillings, pickles, and sauces – you choose, meat or veg – ready to shape and steam as classic folded bao and stuffed buns for a feast with your classmates.
We’ll make sure you’ve got all the kit and ingredients you need, and we’ll even take care of the washing up. Afterwards, you’ll take home your recipe packs, plus leftovers… if there are any!
Typical recipes and skills (we’ll cook the best available on the day, so we might surprise you!):
