The second half of the course is hands-on and you will learn how to make various types of coffee, such as Long Black, Cappuccino and Flat White.

Cafes, bars, restaurants, and hotels are always keen to employ skilled baristas that can provide excellent coffee beverages and service for their customers.Â
Learn about the history of coffee, how to operate and maintain espresso machines, get hands-on practical training for all coffee styles and an introduction to customer service skills. Students must be 16 years or older.
This course offers a course fee subsidy through funding from the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) for NZ citizen and permanent migrant adults, and young people aged 16+ who are not currently enrolled in a NZ secondary school.
