We’ll also cover common equipment, outlining everything you’ll need to know to start your journey off on the right foot. This segment will concentrate on dialing in and how to troubleshoot commonly encountered espresso brewing issues.
After nailing the basics we’ll move on to the fun stuff. In this hands-on tutorial, you will learn how to master the perfect espresso. We’ll walk you through grinding, distribution, and tamping to extract the perfect espresso. Our team will work with you, training your sight, nose, and taste to detect errors in the extraction.
Following this espresso wizardry, you will learn how to steam milk to produce a range of popular speciality coffee beverages. We will cover some basic latte art patterns and have you pouring like a pro by the end of the session!
Our story starts with Nottingham coffee visionary Stewart Falconer, hand-roasting coffee in the 80’s before the word “artisan” even existed. After a few cups of the good stuff during his travels abroad, he made it his mission to make quality coffee the norm, not the exception. We’re proud to carry on his tradition, and the original roaster he bought for the job all those years ago is still a part of the furniture today.
Not many beats “the office job” for us – we work out of a converted fruit-and-veg market in Nottingham’s new “place to be”, Sneinton Market. We’re surrounded by creative businesses and colorful characters.
