About Us
Learn to make your bread at home (1 glass of wine included)
The course explores in detail, bread making.
With expert guidance from Winnipeg Bread’s Jared Ozuk, learn to bake a golden brown loaf of soft Challah bread. Challah is a special bread of Ashkenazi Jewish origin, usually braided, using a rich egg dough.Â
This is a participation-based class where you will be guided through the recipes by the chef, but you will be doing most of the work. These classes offer an in-depth study of chosen recipes using common foods found in a well-stocked pantry.
The key to artisan baking consists of using wholesome, clean (free of preservatives and additives) ingredients and slow fermentation. The slow rising of the dough gives enzymes enough time to break down complex carbohydrates therefore making the bread easier to digest.
