Join us in a class to learn cooking skills that suit real life. We teach proper technique and impart an understanding for kitchen science while also showing how to economize your efforts.
Classes are hands-on, balancing passive and active tasks to create a four-course meal.
At the end of class, we all sit down to enjoy the meal together and if it makes you more comfortable, you may opt to take your portion to go.
Emily has been teaching cooking for 15 years with a mission to make everyone a better home chef. Her approach transcends merely following recipes to impart an overarching understanding of ingredients, their properties and how to work with them in a marriage of kitchen chemistry and culinary creativity.
Emily's instruction is empathetic and encouraging, helping everyone expand their skills and find their joy in the kitchen. Her cuisine is seasonally-driven, produce-forward and she loves to teach and prepare a diverse range of cuisines and food types.
My classes, on the other hand, are 3 hours of fun, food and hands-on learning, in a very small setting (1-4 students). They range from the very basics, to the very advanced!
