Who is Chef Cordell anyway?
Other than being the handsome gentleman in this picture, he is a classically trained Chef with a keen focus on accentuating healthy eating by any means necessary.
Over the past 15 years, Chef Cordell has developed and facilitated culinary programs for various companies, including municipalities, insurance companies, foodservice operations, and individuals across the country. He targets improving the health of consumers through education, access to healthy and fresh foods, & community service. And man can he cook!
Why do we do it?
Too many people are suffering from preventable, food-related illnesses; we aim to markedly decrease that population. Period. Hit devastatingly hard by this are residents of food deserts, who's rates of type-2 diabetes, obesity and hypertension are ever-increasing and disproportionate to non-food desert residents.
Our nonprofit, The Urban Kitchen Table, seeks to create a food oasis in as many food deserts across the country as possible. Through our passion and unique approach to providing education about, and access to, healthy foods, we boldly venture to create economic opportunity, foster community, and live!

Learn the terms and techniques that can make your cookbooks user-friendly or help you build the confidence to cook without books. A good class for beginners, but also for any cook interested in the "hows and whys" that make a good cook a better one. We include recipes and techniques on cooking meat
Our summer cooking camps are designed for all skill levels. We have had newbies and we have had kids go on to participate in and even win Chopped Junior or Masterchef Junior after attending our program. Come as you are, we got you from there! All you need is a love of food and a desire to learn.
In a hands-on, laid-back, fun and energetic environment you will become the master chef. You learn to bake decedent vegan desserts or cook a gourmet meal that will be sure to wow your friends.
Culinary Boot Camp 2.0 is the continuation of skills and techniques learned in 1.0. Using a building-block approach, this class series offers the home cook next-level culinary guidance.
