Using easy-to-prepare recipes and basic cooking techniques, you’ll learn about the importance of advance preparation to save you time and reduce stress in the kitchen.
Our class topics are Knife Skills, Stocks, Soups and Sauces, Italian Essentials and Butchery of Fish and Chicken - join 1 or all 4!

Our talented chefs prepare outstanding menus using fresh, local, ingredients; pairing each course with the perfect wines (or a healthy smoothie for the kids!); and teach you the skills to duplicate the same experience at home.
The Chef Upstairs features an intimate dining experience with amazing chefs & spectacular food. Whether it's a cooking class or special event, you'll find our chefs' passion for food and fun makes every occasion memorable.
Imagine being part of an intimate event at a private dining venue, surrounded by great friends, family or colleagues. Your group assists a fabulous chef in preparing an outstanding menu that is paired with wonderful wines. At the end of your event, you will have the skill, tricks and confidence to duplicate the same experience at home!
In this class, you will learn the knife basics to ensure you can prepare and tackle nearly any type of food. This will include cuts like dicing and julienning, as well as the most efficient way to peel an onion and mince garlic, plus other tips and tricks.
During three in person classes, kids learn different cooking techniques, knife skills and flavour combos.
Follow along with me as I teach you the importance of technique and the various cuts professional chefs use. We will make a healthy and delicious chow mein
