As you know, NECAT students are expected to take on a lot of responsibilities during their time in the program, which include showing up every day, participating and volunteering, committing to your education, and working with us to get you a great job in the culinary field once you graduate.
New England Culinary Arts Training (NECAT) provides chronically unemployed adults with a pathway to stable, long-term employment in the food services industry through comprehensive technical and job readiness training and individualized support and employment services. We are a catalyst for social change, helping our community’s unemployed bridge the skills gap, enter the workforce and achieve economic self-sufficiency.
Do you own a wok but you have no idea what to cook in it? Do you love the idea of "cooking faster and healthier"? Well during this class we'll teach you all the "essentials" you need to know in order to be confident and successful while using your wok.
It's time for the first Culinary Community Kitchen Mystery Basket Challenge!!!! Come out for a unique hands on experience for the whole family! We will teach you some basic skills that every chef should have at their disposal, some basic food paring concepts.
The Market to Table Tour and Cooking Class is a great way to experience Pike Place Market as well as to celebrate birthday parties, company team building and other celebrations!
As with all of our services, we come to you! Invite friends, neighbors, co-workers, plan a team-building event, date night...let's all get in the kitchen together (or not if you prefer to watch and just listen!)
