It is a dance technique that takes place on the floor. It aims to develop muscle tone, amplitude and joint flexibility. Lying on the floor, the dynamic alignment of the body is worked through targeted exercises inspired by basic ballet exercises that are traditionally done using a bar.
Accessible to all, the approach is a good way to develop the right muscular action and the desired physical sensation because it is freed from gravity and body weight without having to maintain balance as in a standing position. For example, this approach is ideal for someone who is recovering from an injury.

This class will focus specific on tumbling skills at the dancers level. It will include both stationary and travelling passes. It will also include balance skills. Dancers will need to come to class stretched, warmed up, and ready to tumble, in order to maximize class time.
Classes will consist of barre, strength and conditioning exercises, and contemporary, lyrical and ballet centre work to keep you doing that thing you love... and at these unprecedented times, this is more important than ever!
Conditioning improves technique and performance in all forms of dance by strengthening the body’s core while developing coordination, balance, alignment and optimizing flexibility.
In turns, students will focus on proper body alignment and control learning how to make a single turn into a series of turns.
