In a series of evening classes, we will be concentrating on cooking techniques. This one is how to cook The Perfect Steak. We will look at different cuts of beef steak (Ribeye, Rump, Sirloin, Fillet, Bavette) and learn what to look out for when choosing a steak. We will demonstrate how best to cook each steak.
Each person will cook their own sirloin steak to serve with a sauce of their choice and
accompaniments. This will be served with a glass of wine.
Description:
How do you cook a perfect steak? How do you choose the right cut for you and what are the differences between them? How do you identify a good steak and what to look out for when buying one? How do you test for the level of “doneness”?
And finally, to rest or not to rest? There’s so much to know when it comes to cooking a perfect steak but you’ll become a steak expert in no time!
We’ll start off with demonstration, discussing, cooking and tasting all the cuts (Ribeye, Rump, Sirloin, Fillet, Bavette) and move onto the practical part. During the class, you’ll work individually and cook your own sirloin steak! The evening will finish with eating the juicy creation served with a sauce of your choice and accompaniments. And yes, a glass of wine is included with that!
Don’t forget to mention it to a fellow steak lover – they might come along with you for a fun night out!
