I was born and grew up in Hikone,West Japan. My mother is a good cook and she taught me a lot of tips regarding home cooking. In 2010, my British husband brought back to Wotton where we lived before moving to Nailsworth in 2021.
In 2018, my husband had medical issues which made me re-evaluate our diet and I began to revisit the cooking style and dishes that my mother had taught me.
I started learning about nutrition and the effect of a balanced diet. I began to realise that a traditional Japanese meal covered a whole range of nutrients, vitamins and minerals that are necessary for healthy living. I am pleased to say my husband fully recovered and is once again fit and healthy.
