Join us at Waterman House Cookery School where we guide you through the Ultimate Christmas Dinner.
On this practical class our chef will take you through how to prepare the perfect Christmas menu with helpful hints and tips on selecting ingredients and getting the best results from you cooking your dinner and how to pull the whole meal together. This is a great class to get the practical tips to make your Christmas meal go smoothly.
Our chef will include:
A classic Roast Turkey
Slow Baked Ham
Perfect Roasted Vegetables
Sage and Onion Stuffing
Roast Potatoes
Cranberry Sauce
The perfect Christmas Pudding
This class lasts approximately 4-5 hours with plenty of time to cook, sit back and enjoy your meal with a complimentary drink. It also includes a recipe pack to take home.
We offer a range of day and evening cooking classes for all ages and abilities. Each class will teach you the skills they needed to make delicious dishes that can be prepared quickly or in advance to be enjoyed with family and friends at home.
Our classes are informal and relaxed, but well structured and feature a mix of demonstration and hands-on cooking. At the end of most classes you will sit down together to enjoy the food that has been cooked along with a glass of wine, coffee or tea.
The first year is an ideal starter if you want to work in the hospitality and catering industry. In the second year you will gain a high standard of cookery and service skills and learn other workplace essentials including customer service and kitchen health and safety.
Our Foundation in Professional Cookery (6 weeks) and Diploma in Professional Cookery (12 weeks) offer students a comprehensive understanding of cooking methods and techniques, as well as valuable qualifications in food hygiene.
You will be introduced to a variety of areas and simulate real-working and professional environments in Edinburgh College’s own restaurants and kitchens. Discover and develop skills essential to the industry in communication and teamwork as you take a step closer towards your future career.
The Professional Cookery (Preparation and Cooking) City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma offers a great grounding for a variety of hospitality areas such as: Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Cookery and Hospitality Services all leading to employment opportunities.
