Learn how to make sausages and charcuterie in Birmingham. Join Loaf for a fantastic sausage and charcuterie experience. The course is led by experienced cook and charcuterie enthusiast Lap-fai Lee. This day long course will take you through options for creating four amazing sausages and preparing your own charcuterie.
During the day you’ll be learning:
You’ll feel right at home at Loaf, and everything you learn will set you up for recreating everything you have learnt at home. All refreshments, equipment, recipes and aprons are provided.
Your day-long workshop includes a delicious lunch you will also receive the charcuterie you create; which you’ll collect when they have cured.
It should go without saying, but this course is not suitable for Vegetarians or Vegans. It is also not suitable for coeliacs.
We believe everyone has the right to be able to find, cook, and eat real food everyday. We’ve developed courses that enable you to do just that.
Whether it’s learning how to make sourdough bread or fillet fresh fish, Loaf’s in-house staff and expert external tutors will guide you through every step of the process.
You will leave our courses feeling confident that you can start reproducing the magic at home in your own kitchen. No prior experience necessary!
The course covers general units including team-work, working in a safe and hygienic manner and maintaining food safety during storage, preparation and cooking. There are additional units that include basic knife and cooking techniques to prepare and cook basic vegetable, egg, meat and rice dishes
Turkey, ham and all the trimmings. A fab dessert. All of my classes end with everyone sitting together and eating what we’ve cooked along with a glass or two of wine. If you’d like to make an evening of it you’re welcome to bring some more wine.
The first year is an ideal starter if you want to work in the hospitality and catering industry. In the second year you will gain a high standard of cookery and service skills and learn other workplace essentials including customer service and kitchen health and safety.
We will expect a higher level of confidence in the kitchen and the dishes cooked will be ideal for dinner parties. You will take your food home with at the end of the evening. Students will learn recipes and techniques such as risotto, pasta, sauces, fish and shellfish preparation etc.
Cooking Classes are offered by Cook with Kai.Cooking lessons are becoming more popular because people want to show off their new culinary skills to their family and friends.
