Here at the Pantry, we call ourselves a community kitchen. For us, that means we do many things: cooking classes focusing on traditional food crafts and technique, five-course family-style dinners, culinary camp for the kids, power lunches for makers, food swaps, and cookbook club potluck suppers.
Basically anything we can think of to get our neighbors around the table, breaking bread and building community.
Olé! Join us at The Cookery for an evening in Barcelona, Spain where you will learn how to make these traditional rustic dishes. Next thing you know you will be running with the bulls!
Our most popular stand-alone cooking class, this is Classic Cooking Academy’s bread and butter. Guests come in, find a seat, have a drink, and meet the chefs who go over each item on the menu.
On arrival for our fun and delicious class, you will be greeted with a glass of sangria. From there... on to small bites that make Spanish dining so alluring. Catalan Tomato Bread; Greens and Spanish Figs dressed with vinaigrette and wrapped in thinly sliced Jamon.
Each hands-on cooking class will feature recipes from my travels throughout Spain and highlight seasonal ingredients and lots of cooking techniques. After reviewing the recipes together, students will divide into teams to work on recipes together.
