Welcome to Free Spirit Dance, a dance and fitness studio just for adults!
A place where everyone is welcome, free to express themselves and to free to live life out loud and proud! I didn’t start dance until my early 20s. I am a bit of an anomaly in the dance community as most professional dancers start when they are very young.
I wanted to create a space specifically for adults based on my own dance and fitness journey. Maybe you have never danced before and you have always wanted to try or maybe you danced when you were young and you just want to experience the joy of movement again.
It can be intimidating to try new things as an adult and stepping outside your comfort zone can be scary.
At Free Spirit we foster an inclusive community where you can feel free to try new things without judgment. It’s good to try new things.
You never know what new and exciting things you might find out about yourself. I never new that one dance class in Cuba so many years ago would lead into a passion that is now my career.
The Danse-Études program allows young dancers to nurture their passion, to discover themselves by exploring different styles and to realize themselves through the practice of dance
The program is continually presenting and encouraging students to meet new challenges. In doing so, students gain a true sense of outstanding accomplishment and constant progress. Students of all ages will love this technique and will always be learning.
Body Conditioning classes develop strength, flexibility, and core awareness. Students are encouraged to train both body and mind with a fresh and healthy approach.
Our programs are designed to inspire young dancers to follow their dreams and express their emotions through movement. We pride our studio to be an inclusive environment for children of all abilities.
The exercises work on muscle elongation and aim to strengthen postural muscles, as well as stabilizers.Â
