This course is for employers and employees at every level who want a better understanding of what triggers stress in the workplace. How employers can adapt the work environment to support its staff, and shared best practice to overcome and manage stress in the workplace.

Course Overview
This Stress Management training course has been developed specifically with the needs of today’s workforce in mind. The course is designed to help learners understand how the cause of workplace stress and how it can be delt with effectively.

The course also investigates how employers can adapt the workplace environment to improve employee welfare, and how talking therapies can be used to control the levels of stress experienced, by looking at 5 key areas:

• Dealing with the causes of stress
• Work related stress
• Coping with stress
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

By the end of this course you will be able to:
• Identify the Symptoms of stress
• Explain what is meant by stress and work-related stress
• Explain typical causes of stress in the workplace and at home
• Undergo a stress risk assessment
• Understand the importance of controlling stress and know how to cope with stress when it arises
• Identify what change can be made in the workplace and at home to deal with the cause and effect of stress
• Understand more about talking therapies that can overcome stress
