This 3-day course is required for the individual that will be operating Fast Rescue Boats. This class covers all required theory and practical training. The assessments and practical training will be done on our RIB FRC as well as other QMT boats.
This course will also be of value to others operating vessels on the water who may not be seeking U.S. Coast Guard documents, licenses or endorsements, or whose experience is not up to the minimum requirements established under ideal conditions.
This training satisfies the competency requirements of Table A-VI/2-1 of the STCW Code, As Amended, for Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats (PSC) for those seafarers not having evidence of 1 year of sea service within the past 5 years.
This 16 hour (two-day) course of instruction is designed to provide to the student a training experience that combines formal classroom instruction with practical exercises and hands-on shipboard fire fighting procedures and tactics practical training and assessment.
This course satisfies the Management of Medical Care training requirements for raising of grade to Chief Mate or Master (management level) on vessels of more than 500GT (ITC), and for Masters of vessels of less than 500GT (management level).
Those Who Successfully Complete The Course Should Be Able To Demonstrate Sufficient Knowledge To Undertake The Duties Assigned Under The Ship Security Plan.
