Come and learn the basics of using a sewing machine. Fee includes all supplies to complete a project. Ages 12 & up (ages 9 - 11 need adult to sit with them during class)

Learn the parts of your sewing machine along with sewing terms as you thread your machine, wind a bobbin, and more while sewing a little project. Find out how and when to adjust machine tension, change needles, and trouble shoot common sewing problems.

Adult Sewing School is created to teach you individual techniques. These skills will later enable you to create an item with a professional finish because you will know how to create the seam or dart the pattern is calling for.  

If you ever wanted to make a quilt and had no idea where to start, we have the solution for you. These comprehensive machine piecing classes are geared to beginners and those wishing to improve their piecing skills. Everyone ends up with an attractive quilt.

This is a skill-building program for students to acquire knowledge of basic sewing techniques.

It is expected that instruction in music, (instrumental and vocal), dance, sewing and fashion design will provide the youth participants enhanced life knowledge and skills, increased self esteem and self-awareness, the value of team work, and group interaction experience.

Bring your own project (machine or hand sewing, embroidery) and Kim will be there to help. If you don't have a project to work on, she’ll help you get started on something fun. We have lots of great patterns and projects to choose from. Please send a message if you'd like to reserve a machine.

For the beginning quilter. You will learn the basics of rotary cutting and machine piecing, as well as the complete quilt making process., from piecing the top, basting the layers, basic machine quilting and binding. Fee includes pattern.

This class is intended for quilters who do NOT own their own machine and want to complete their quilts with an overall computerized design. (This is NOT the class for those who want to complete a custom design or work in free motion quilting.)
