This SafeWork NSW course provides for personnel who are required to control traffic with a stop/slow bat. For any person who may be required to manage traffic through and/or past a roadwork site, directing traffic with a Stop-Slow down bat or similar device.

The Traffic Controller course is designed to prepare you with the skills and knowledge to work safely and effectively in the traffic management industry. It applies to those who would like to work in live traffic environments in a supervisory or operational role in NSW to control traffic

This Traffic Control course training will provide students with the skills and knowledge they require to function as a Traffic Controller with a stop-slow bat in and around active construction and resource sites. 

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to control vehicle and pedestrian traffic using stop-slow bats, hand signals and approved communication devices in the resources and infrastructure industries.

This course addresses the skills and knowledge for those responsible for stopping and starting traffic in temporary traffic management using a stop/slow bat or boom gate.

The course prepares participants for dealing with situations involving live traffic control by ensuring professional knowledge in WHS, safe direction of traffic and pedestrians, as well as how to understand Traffic Control Guidance Schemes, and Traffic Control Plans.
