Course Details

Described as Yoga and Dance on silks, Aerial Body Conditioning is a new, fun way to add variety to your practice. Experience deeper stretching and strengthening with poses you otherwise may not have the strength to achieve.

Aerial Body Conditioning improves circulation and freedom in the entire body and creates a serene lightness of being. No experience in Yoga or Dance required, just a ‘give it a go’ attitude! Classes available for Teens and Adults, males and females.

Aerial Body Conditioning is a fun, challenging workout routine combining aspects of Yoga, Pilates, Aerial Arts and Strength Training. Using a Yoga Hammock, these classes are designed to increase strength, mobility, balance and flexibility, and you will have a great time while doing it!

A total mind and body workout for those who want to combine fitness with FUN.

These classes are run termly for $160.00 per term. Fees are to be paid in advance to secure your space in the class.

Due to limited class spaces each term, we often have waitlists for these classes, so contact the office to enrol or be placed on our waitlist for the next available space!

  • Jane Trask is a Secondary school Dance and Physical Education Teacher with 13 years experience teaching Dance in two Rotorua high schools. She has danced since she was 4 years old and has been a part of the AMJAZZ family for 30 years! Jane has also taught various classes at AMJAZZ Dance studios, including relieving, over the past 12 years. Jane completed a Bachelors degree in Sport and Leisure Studies, Communication and Journalism, along with her Gradute Diploma of Physical Education and Dance Teaching. She has been a National Dance Moderator of NCEA for over 8 years. Jane has completed all of the American Jazz Dance Syllabus including her Solo Seal and American Jazz Dance Teachers Certificate. Jane has also completed various exams in Ballet, Tap, Contemporary and Hip Hop as well as having experience in Yoga, Pilates and Pole Dancing for fitness. Jane also ran the Bay of Plenty Steamers Cheerleaders from 2006 – 2008. She loves to perform and teach students of all ages to dance and has choreographed for local high school and Rotorua Musical Theatre productions. Jane has recently begun exploring a new direction in local journalism and opion writing and is enjoying the direction it brings. Jane also keeps busy being a mum to her two young boys, is a La Leche Leader, and loves to be active. She looks forward to teaching her third year of Aerial Yoga with AMJAZZ.
